(15.05.2020) The Internationale der Kriegsdienstgegner*innen (IDK), a German based section of War Resisters’ International (WRI) in London, supports conscientious objectors and deserters worldwide and demands to grant asylum in Germany for those who refuse. In the past, IDK supported conscientious objectors from South Korea and Israel. Many thanks to Ofer Golany from Jerusalem (Israel) for his musical contribution from "Guns2Guitars - AlterNativs".

(15.05.2020) My name is Heinz Bartjes. I applied for becoming a conscientious objector in 1975 as one of the few in my school class. In the 1970s during the Cold war the German military, the Bundeswehr, was still considered as “school of the nation” where a boy was supposed to be turned into a man.
